Ushguli - the highest and most isolated village in Svaneti.
Ushguli actually is community of four villages - Zhibiani, Chvibiani, Chajashi and Murkmeli.
Located on latitude 2200 m above sea level, Ushguli is highest permanently inhabitant settlement in Europe.
Ushguli, as all upper Svaneti is recognized as world heritage site by UNESCO.
Ushguli is notable for it's towers and architecture. There are about 30 svan towers.

Ushguli is located at buttom of highest mountain in Georgia - Shkhara, which height is 5068 m, and where starts river Enguri.
Chajashi and Murkmeli. This villages are almost abandoned after big avalanches in 1988.
